FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Calculating your liner size

Measure you pond accurately.

Calculate the liner size by adding twice the maximum pool depth to both length and width of the pond. Take care to measure overall pond dimensions i.e. not narrowist points.

To Calculate Liner size required:
Length = pond length + depth (x2) +edge overlap = Total Length
Width = pond length + depth (x2) +edge overlap = Total Width

POOL LINERS

A pool liner has the advantage of flexibility of size and shape.

Liners can be supplied in pre-packs or of the roll, so you can choose whatever size you need for your pond, unlike the pre-formed ponds which have a fixed size.

So for ease of construction and less wastage, design a shape with sweeping curves rather than numerous narrow inlets and necks.

An important consideration is depth. Under 15" there is a danger o it freezing solid in the winter and being too hot in the summer, with the exception of specialised Koi ponds, there is no practical reason for a pond to be over 30" deep.

A good average is 18" to 24"
