 Blagdon water gardens Set in six acres and in glorious countryside, with landscaped displays, against the backdrops of the Mendip hills, yet it is not in a remote and inaccessible location, just off the a38 south of Bristol, it is only 20 minutes or so from 3 of the M5 junctions. It is therefore, ideally located for the day out.
Blagdon Water Gardens is undoubtedly the most widely known of all our centres, and over the past 12 months, the sales area has been virtually doubled for even greater choice and convenience. Fish enthusiasts will be glad to know that we have recently installed 18 additional vats for coldwater fish, so that stock is available when you want it. Our Japanese-bred carp are already noted among Koi keepers for their superb colouring and quality.
Part of the Blagdon Water Gardens site was once an industrial unit for the manufacture of Blagdon pools. The 'pool factory', as it is affectionately known, has now been opened for retail sales, where we can cut heavy-duty pond liner from the roll, or help you choose ponds or water cascades, all under cover. Beyond, a large canopied area is laid out with glass-fibre and plastic pre-formed ponds, resin and GRC streams and waterfalls. Also extensive ranges of drilled slate and granite monoliths and water features and new tables and benches display the widest choice of aquatic and marginal plants in the West of England.
First-time visitors to any aquatic store can easily feel intimidated by the huge number of technical-looking products on show. To make it easier, we have set up a number of demonstration ponds and waterfalls so that you can say: 'I like that!' And, of course, we always have expert help available to guide you through the maze to reach your desired objective.
Perhaps the most surprising thing to those unfamiliar with the world of water gardening is that Blagdon Water Gardens is among the most competitively priced sources of aquatic product in the country. That's one of the advantages of being among the biggest, and we pass on our savings to you, the customer.
